This publication is the result of the efforts of the Latin American Network on Foresight and Technology Watch, RIAP, within the framework of the Iberoamerican Program of Science and Technology for Development, CYTED, started in 2003, whose main objectives were the need to emphasize the discussion forums and debates on key issues for society. The foresight, the scientific studies and the technological information and knowledge can contribute to the generation of strategies and the search for solutions, offering spaces to share experiences and identify possibles perceptions of the future. It promotes a common reference in science, technology and innovation for the different countries in Latin American context.
