Organisms of innovation

Organisations supporting and promoting innovation are those organisms whose primary function is to facilitate innovation processes in companies and research centres: foundations, public-private innovation agencies, support and counseling centers, sectorial centres, etc.
In Spain, there are the European Business and Innovation Centres (BICs). They are entities created by the European Commission in 1984 within the framework of regional policies, in order to facilitate the location, first installation, growth and consolidation of innovative SMEs in relation to new technologies. The BICs are grouped in ANCES, National Association of Spanish BICs and, in EBN, European Business and Innovation Centre Network, European Association of BICs.
