Incubadoras de Empresa

Business incubators are created to facilitate the implementation and development of new businesses such as spin-off companies. In general, are spaces driven by public or private sector and arranged for entrepreneurs to transform their business idea into a commercial product. The incubators provide facilities, technical support and business advice in the early stages of the company.

There are incubators of different types and vary depending on local conditions of the region. There are various models and among the most common are:

  • Technology incubators.
  • Sectoral incubators.
  • Bioincubators.
  • Virtual incubators
  • Business incubators

Today, business incubators are expanding at a dizzying speed. At the end of 2002 accounted for about 4,000 incubators worldwide, the U.S. being the reference country and MIT its main engine. The Latin American countries are in a time of full development and expansion, many models and centers are emerging to support entrepreneurship.
