Intellectual Property is acquired by the simple creation of the work, while the Industrial Property requires completion of a record. All forms of protection are territorial in nature. Each State has its own validity and covers the territory for which it is granted. For example, a Spanish patent protects the invention bur is not subject to the same in another country.
