Registration forms

Titles of industrial property rights are territorial, each state has its own system and the validity covers the territory for which it is granted. Hence you have to submit as many applications as states in which you want to protect the invention. And in those where no protection is sought, the information is public domain, being able to operate freely.
International conventions exist to address these problems. They are agreements that allow citizens to members from signing these agreements benefit from certain privileges, especially that of "national treatment" and the establishment of a common procedure for granting patents.
These international agreements are:
Madrid System

The Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks (popularly known as the Madrid system) is used to protect a brand around the world. The agreement was established in 1891, is governed under the Madrid Agreement (1891) and Madrid Protocol (1989) and is administered by the International Bureau of WIPO in Geneva, Switzerland.
