The Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, recognized by the General Assembly of the United Nations, is the world’s leading forum for strategic advice, coordination, partnership development and review of progress in implementing International instruments on disaster risk reduction. It was established in 2006 and is now the leading global meeting of stakeholders committed to disaster risk reduction and building resilience of communities and nations.
