The 10th Ibero-American Conference on Science and Technology Indicators, RICYT 2017, will be held from November 20 to 22 in San José, Costa Rica. The event is jointly promoted by the Ibero-American Network of Science and Technology Indicators (RICYT), the Ibero-American Observatory of Science and Technology (RICYT) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications of Costa Rica (MICITT).
The topic will be “Dialogue between producers and users of information” and the meeting will bring together producers of official statistics from the region, different users of information, such as decision makers, managers and academics.
The Congress will seek to discuss traditional issues related to science, technology and innovation indicators and to extend the scope of the debate to those areas of work that may offer new tools for the analysis of science, technology, innovation and its relation with Society and development in the region.
In this sense, the subject areas will be:
Monitoring and evaluation of policies, programs and institutions.
Measuring innovation.
Indicators of gender, science, technology and innovation.
Indicators of scientific production, open access and new technologies.
Indicators of linking institutions with their environment.
Indicators of perception and social appropriation of science and technology.
