ESOCITE 2018: Latin American Association of Social Studies of Science and Technology

The Latin American Association of Social Studies of Science and Technology (ESOCITE), the Chilean Network of Science, Technology and Society (CTS-Chile), the University of Chile, the University de la Frontera, and the University of Valparaíso, invite to researchers related to the Social Studies of Science, Technology and Innovation to participate in the XII LATIN AMERICAN DAYS OF SOCIAL STUDIES OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, ESOCITE 2018: Citizenship of knowledge: new forms and tensions in the making and thinking of science, technology and society.

The call to the meeting in Chile proposes to reflect on the changes in the architectures and policies of science, technology, and innovation; the new forms of citizen activation and its interpellation to science, the demands of building knowledge outside traditional institutions and a greater response to citizen problems and social demands.

The Latin American Symposium on Social Studies of Science and Technology (ESOCITE) will be held in Santiago, Chile, on July 18, 19 and 20, 2018.
