On October 24 and 25, the First International Seminar on Technological Prospective for the Americas, Prospecta Américas, is held in Lima (Peru). The purpose is creating a regional network of experts in technology prospects aimed at sharing good practices, supporting development of capabilities and provide technical assistance. The meeting is organized by the OAS, the Concytec and the Colciencias de Colombia.
The event will present the 10 main transformative technologies that today have a significant impact on the economy and society: Big Data, robotics, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, quantum computing, blockchain, synthetic biology, gene editing, biomedical engineering and new nanostructured materials.
