The Scientific Advisory Forum and technology (FCCyT) is an autonomous and impartial instance of Mexico which is responsible for analysing the development of the science, technology and innovation (CTI) in the country. It is a reference source to know in detail the State of the national system of science, technology and innovation of Mexico and its States.
Between their substantive functions include:
- Act as autonomous and permanent advisory body of the Executive power, the CONACYT and the General Council of scientific research, technological development and innovation. It also attends to the legislative branch federal and State. Consulting activities include design policy, the construction of the budget and the evaluation of policies.
- Be an organ of expression and communication of users on the system of science, technology and innovation, with the aim of encouraging dialogue with legislators and State and federal authorities building the bonds of collaboration between the different actors.
- Communicate and disseminate the science, technology and innovation, for which the Forum makes use of different media, from the direct communication through conferences, seminars, workshops, round table discussions, publication of books, articles and reports, to the use of the means of mass communication and social networks.
