Technology Monitoring Unit of the Technology Institute of Production (ITP) Peru


The Technological Institute of Production (ITP) is a Specialized Technical Organization of the Ministry of Production of Peru. Its purpose is to contribute to improving the productivity of companies through research, development, innovation, adaptation, transformation and technology transfer services.
The Technology Monitoring and Competitive Intelligence Team is part of the Directorate of Research, Development, Innovation, and Technology Transfer of the ITP Red CITE. Its objective is to carry out strategic surveillance to provide useful information to companies in the productive sector, which includes technological information (available and emerging technologies), competitive (competitors), commercial (products, markets, suppliers) and the environment (socio-economic , policy, legislation, etc.), to analyse, interpret and communicate it as information of strategic value. All this within the framework of the UNE 166006: 2011 standard of technology monitoring and competitive intelligence.

    Valorization of the market.

It facilitates open access to publications and intelligence reports offered by business and research sectors. As well as access to alerts and news bulletins through the Ainia Iwatch ITP platform.

In addition, the ITP promotes the Productive Innovation and Technology Transfer Network (CITE Network), integrated by 46 CITE at a national level. Each CITE constitutes a meeting point between the State, the academy, the private sector and the rest of the elements of the Innovation System. As a whole, its work is aimed at improving opportunities for collaboration and cooperation to promote technological innovation, promote research, knowledge dissemination and technology transfer in the country.
