The Network University Enterprise - Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe (RedUE-ALCUE) was born in response to international recognition that an active relationship between universities and the productive, business and social world contributes to promoting the transfer of knowledge to society, Technological innovation and competitiveness of enterprises and the socio-economic development of countries.
RedUE-ALCUE is an association of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, created by more than 30 universities from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay. It operates in the ALCUE space as an articulating node for institutions and individuals to foster relations between universities and the productive world, to promote the exchange of experiences between them, as well as the development of joint initiatives.
RedUE-ALCUE articulates its activity through thematic working groups:
- Knowledge transfer offices.
- Lifelong learning.
- University liaison offices.
- Technological vigilance and competitive intelligence, coordinated by the OVTT.
- Regional innovation systems.
Recently, academics, executives and experts on university-business linkage in Latin America, the Caribbean and the European Union met in Santiago de Chile with the aim of presenting the RedUE-ALCUE and articulating a space for reflection for action, aimed at promoting The link between university and business in Latin America, from the exchange of experiences and the detection of common needs. To this end, it held I International Congress of the Redue-ALCUE.
