UAIPIT is the international legal portal on Industrial and Intellectual Property and legal aspects of the Information Society promoted by the professors of the Private International Law Area of the Faculty of Law of the University of Alicante. It is aimed at professionals, researchers and students interested in these important issues.
Currently, UAIPIT is managed by the General Foundation of the University of Alicante and directed by Teacher Lydia Esteve and Dr. Richard A. Mac Bride (see Team UAIPIT). Thanks to the collaboration agreement with the European Patent Office (EPO), since 2006 UAIPIT has developed, along with the European Patent Academy, one of the most complete calendars in the world on educational events related to patents and other intellectual property rights : The EPO IP Calendar.
In addition, UAIPIT has several collaboration agreements with other professional and educational institutions in America, Asia and Europe.
The UAIPIT database contains different sections on Legislation, Jurisprudence, Events, Blogs, Links, Publications, Research and Training, the Dictionary of Intellectual Property and information of Intellectual Property and Information Society classified in categories.
Since November 2009, the tenth anniversary of UAIPIT, organizes UAIPIT International Congresses annually in order to discuss relevant and current aspects on topics of interest related to the protection of Industrial and Intellectual Property and the Information Society.
